8Foods Launches Almond-Based Vegan & Keto Hot Cross Buns in the UK

British brand 8Foods has launched vegan-friendly and keto hot cross buns. Hot cross buns are spiced sweet bread rolls containing dried fruit and marked with a cross, traditionally eaten over the Easter period in the UK and some commonwealth countries. 8Foods’ almond-based keto buns contain six grams of carbohydrates each, compared to the usual 40 grams for traditional hot cross buns. They are free of refined sugar, dairy, gluten, grains, and yeast. Other vegan and keto foods offered by 8Foods include bread rolls, bagels, energy bites, and raw brownies. The products are all handmade in small batches in the brand’s London kitchens, and some are available at retailers such as Whole Foods, Selfridges, and Planet Organic.
