Clean Kitchen Club Raises Seed Round Funding of £2M

The young plant-based chain Clean Kitchen Club’s latest funding round has been topped to £2 million thanks to some of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs. Starting out selling burgers from a small delivery kitchen, Clean Kitchen Club has grown into one of London’s most popular plant-based restaurant chains in less than two years. In November 2021, Clean Kitchen Club closed its seed round funding with a total of £1,4 million raised. Among the entrepreneurs whose investments topped the seed capital to £2 million are former McDonald’s CEO Steve Easterbrook, businesswoman and influencer Grace Beverley, as well as former Quorn chairman Clive Sharpe and Spencer Matthews, founder of CleanCO. Former McDonalds CEO Steve Easterbrook Invests in Clean Kitchen Club

Steve Easterbrook, the British-born former CEO of McDonalds, has invested in London-based vegan quick-service restaurant chain Clean Kitchen Club. The sum invested has not been disclosed. Founded by Made in Chelsea star Verity Bowditch and former YouTuber Mikey Pearce, Clean Kitchen Club initially set up shop as a dark kitchen during the pandemic in 2020. By the end of 2021, the chain already had five sites across London, offering mainly burgers and bowls along with a selection of sides and smoothies. The new investment from Easterbrook follows Clean Kitchen Club’s £1.4 million seed funding round in November of last year, where the chain achieved a £7.5 million valuation less than 12 months after it launched. Clean Kitchen Club to Open Flagship Vegan Restaurant at Battersea Power Station

London-based vegan chain Clean Kitchen Club is to open a huge 2,441 square foot flagship restaurant at Battersea Power Station. It will be the chain’s sixth location, following its launch just 15 months ago.  Clean Kitchen Club will join Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, Middle Eastern eatery Le Bab, and more at the Grade II listed former power station. Situated in Turbine Hall B, the plant-based restaurant will offer both dine-in and grab-and-go options, along with vegan cocktails. Carbon labelling Clean Kitchen claims to be the first plant-based food and lifestyle brand to publish carbon values for each of its menu items. Made in Chelsea and YouTube Star Close £1.4M Seed Round for Vegan Clean Kitchen Club

Made in Chelsea reality TV star Verity Bowditch and former YouTube personality Mikey Pearce have closed the seed round funding for their plant-based food brand Clean Kitchen Club.
