vEEF Merges With LOVE BUDS to Form The Aussie Plant Based Co

Two Australian brands — Fenn Foods’ vEEF and All G Foods’ LOVE BUDS — have announced that they are merging to form a new company called The Aussie Plant Based Co. vEEF and LOVE BUDS are both leaders in the plant-based meat category, in retail and food service respectively. The strategic merger will grant The Aussie Plant Based Co access to 6,000 distribution points across Australia, along with a manufacturing hub on the Sunshine Coast. Demand for plant-based foods is growing rapidly in Australia; recent research found that 19% of Australians are eating a flexitarian diet, while 6% are vegetarian or vegan. Fenn Foods Becomes Australia’s First Certified Carbon-Neutral Plant-Based Food Company

Australia’s Fenn Foods, best known for its vEEF range of meat alternatives, has become the country’s first plant-based food producer to be certified carbon-neutral. vEEF plant-based mince was the first of Fenn’s products to be certified, in 2018. Two years later, Fenn told vegconomist that it aimed for all products and the entire company to eventually be carbon-neutral — a goal that has now been achieved. To be certified, Fenn Foods’ ingredients, products, packaging, practices, and even its employees’ commutes had to be rigorously audited by the Carbon Reduction Institute. Fenn then purchased accredited carbon offsets to counter all potential emissions. Fënn Foods Raises $3M in Oversubscribed Private Capital Raise

Fënn Foods raises $3 million to meet increasing demand and expand internationally. Australian plant-based foods producer Fënn Foods has announced an oversubscribed private capital raise from investors including leading fund manager Bombora Investment Management. This is an especially noteworthy investment partner considering  Bombora Special Investments Growth Fund’s track record and tendency to invest in high growth, pre-IPO companies and listed equities. “This injection of capital enables us to increase our investment in innovation, marketing and production, allowing us to meet the increasing demand for vEEF® products, enter new categories and explore distribution into select international markets,” said Mr Nicholas Simms, Executive Chairman for Fënn Foods. Australia’s Largest Meal Kit Brand Hello Fresh Partners With Fenn Foods

Home delivery meal-kit market leader Hello Fresh is expanding its vegan offerings in Australia by entering a new partnership with Fenn Foods. Australian plant-based producer Fenn Foods will be supplying vEEF, its carbon neutral certified, plant-based mince.  Hello Fresh, the largest meal-kit brand in Australia, will be utilising the plant-based meat from Fenn Foods as an ingredient in their ‘Chilli Cin Carne’ recipe. More recipes are set to be released in the near future. The move by industry leader Hello Fresh confirms the growing demand for plant-based options, as well as setting the standard for other meal delivery services.
