Vegan Mayonnaise Not a Phase: Here’s the Sauce on the Best New and Emerging Mayos in Plant-Based

Updated Dec 2023: As of 2023, the BeSaucy vegan mayo range in the UK is still doing well, with four different flavor options available, and the same goes for Mayoneur in The Netherlands. Currently, Vurger’s mayo range is no longer available as per the company’s website. Vegan mayo options in North America continue to do well, with Hellmann’s, Follow Your Heart, and Heinz, all demonstrating consistent success.  Notable players have also entered the vegan mayo market, with NotCo announcing the US debut of NotMayo as part of its partnership with Kraft Heinz. NotMayo also launched at Target stores across the US in March 2023. NY Chickpea Specialist Banza Collaborates With Beyond Meat and Follow Your Heart

Banza, a manufacturer of chickpea-based foods, recently announced new collaborations with Beyond Meat and Follow Your Heart. The new Supreme contains Beyond Sausage Italian Crumbles (though is topped with dairy cheese) and the Plant-Based Cheese is a fully vegan pizza with Follow Your Heart dairy-free cheese. The New York based brand, which also produces chickpea pasta, pizza, rice, and mac & cheese, announced last month the rollout of Banza Pizza into several US retailers, marking a retail presence in over 8,000 outlets nationwide. “Chickpeas, and by extension beans, are one of the best foods for human health and the environment. Revealed: The Top 7 Most Most Googled Vegan Brands in the World

A new study has revealed the most Googled vegan brands globally, with Beyond Meat at the top of the list at more than five million searches a year. Vegconomist gives you the full rundown of the top seven most Googled plant-based brands, according to analysis from Maxima Kitchen Equipment. Beyond Meat Alt meat giant Beyond Meat has more than triple the average yearly searches for all seven vegan brands on the list, receiving more than 422,000 searches a month. That is more than twice as many searches as its nearest competitor. Danone North America, the world’s largest Certified B Corporation, today announces it will acquire 100% of the shares of Earth Island, producer of Follow Your Heart, a US leader of dairy alternatives and maker of the iconic egg-free mayonnaise Vegenaise. The new partnership takes place as part of Danone’s goal to reach €5 billion in plant-based sales by 2025. Follow Your Heart products are also established in the UK and have been available in small retailers for several years, before rolling out into Tesco, the UK’s biggest retailer, last summer.
