Canada: First Publicly Listed Vegan Fast-Food Chain Globally Local Becomes Odd Burger in Major Rebrand

Globally Local Technologies, the parent company of one of the world’s first vegan fast-food chains and the first to go public, has announced a major rebrand as Odd Burger Corporation. Globally Local – World’s First Publicly Listed Vegan Fast Food Chain – Announces First 5 of 20 New Locations

After becoming the first vegan fast-food chain to be publicly listed, Canada’s Globally Local has announced plans to open five new Ontario restaurant locations in Summer 2021. Additionally – subject to policies of the Toronto Stock Exchange’s Venture Exchange – certain consultants of the parent company Globally Local Technologies have been granted 150,000 options ‎to ‎purchase common shares of the company. The 150,000 share options offered by the company will be exercisable at $1.55 per share for a term of two years.

Globally Local Goes Public Tomorrow as World’s First Publicly Traded Vegan Fast-Food Company

Globally Local Technologies Inc., parent company of fast-food chain Globally Local, which currently operates eight locations in Canada with plans for 20 outlets across North America in the next year including the US, is to debut tomorrow on the Toronto Stock Exchange’s Venture Exchange under the symbol GBLY. The company says the listing will make it the first vegan first fast-food chain in the world to become publicly listed.

Canada: 250,000 “Bleeding” Vegan Burgers to be Produced by Globally Local Every Month

The Canadian fast-food chain “Globally Local” has introduced its first “bleeding” vegan burger produced in-house. The fast-food restaurant, located throughout North America, aims to produce and sell around 250,000 “Preposterous Burgers” per month from the end of August. After almost a year of development, the company has succeeded in creating a burger that is just as good as its animal counterpart with the help of plant-based ingredients. The vegan burger owes its bloody consistency to dried beet extract. The patty also consists of meat-like granules made from wheat, oats and soya. In addition to operating a food truck, Globally Local opened its first restaurant in London, Ontario, in January 2017.
