Wicked Kitchen Acquires Good Catch’s North American Channels

Plant-based brand Wicked Kitchen has acquired alt-seafood producer Good Catch’s North American channels, stating: “We will have the largest variety of animal-free consumer packaged goods in the industry.” The acquisition will enhance Wicked’s portfolio to include frozen and ambient plant-based seafood. The company will take over the Good Catch brand in North America, while Good Catch’s parent company, Gathered Foods, will become a Wicked shareholder. Branding, product availability, and distribution will all remain the same. Both Wicked and Good Catch were co-founded by chef-brothers Chad and Derek Sarno. Chad Sarno will act as chief culinary officer for both brands, with Wicked and Good Catch working together on plant-based product innovations. Meta Burger Joins with Good Catch to Add New Fish Filet Sandwich to Menu

Meta Burger, a vegan burger chain based in Colorado, has partnered with Good Catch Plant-Based Seafood to add a new Fish Filet Sandwich to its permanent menu. Plant-Based Chain Next Level Burger Debuts Good Catch Crispy Fish Burger

Alt-seafood brand Good Catch and US plant-based restaurant chain Next Level Burger have joined forces to launch the vegan Crispy Fish Burger. The burger is made with Good Catch’s Plant-Based Breaded Fish Fillet and topped with lemon-herb mayo, organic lettuce, tomato, and plant-based American cheese. Served on an organic white bun, the burger will be available from April 1-30 at all Next Level Burger restaurants. Next Level describes itself as the US’ first plant-based burger chain. Good Catch, which is owned by Gathered Foods, is releasing plant-based salmon burgers through a new partnership with UNFI, one of North America’s largest distributors. According to Good Catch, 30% of American seafood consumers purchase salmon each month, and it currently ranks as the most widely eaten fish in the US.  Good Catch says the new salmon burgers are the first such item produced entirely within the US.
