Gosh! Launches New Plant-Based Street Food Range and BBQ Kits

British plant-based food brand Gosh! has introduced two new product ranges: Street Food and Glaze & Grill BBQ kits. The first launch in the Street Food range is falafacini, a fusion of falafel and arancini. This combines grains, wild rice, sun-ripened vegetables, chickpeas, and herbs, and features Italian-inspired flavours. The falafacini is crunchy on the outside with a filled centre; two different fillings are available, basil pesto and vegan n’duja. Inspiring people to incorporate more veg The Glaze & Grill kits are designed by chefs and feature vegetable-based products with brush-on glazes. Plant-Based Brand Gosh! to Be Available to Children at More Than 130 UK Nurseries

UK nursery school (known as pre-school in the US) food supplier Nursery Kitchen has joined forces with plant-based brand Gosh! to provide healthier options to children under the age of five. Nursery Kitchen provides meals to over 130 nurseries UK-wide, and will now begin offering Gosh! products such as sweet potato pakora and Mediterranean falafel as snacks. A drastic need for change  The collaboration comes as concerns grow about poor nutrition among young children, with more than 20% reportedly overweight or obese by the time they start primary (elementary) school. Portuguese Conglomerate Sonae Acquires UK’s Gosh Food For £64M

Portuguese conglomerate Sonae has this week acquired Claybell Limited, owner of Gosh Food, known in the UK for its range of vegan sausages, burgers and falafels. The deal is reported to have taken place for around £64 million via Sonae Food4Future. According to Foodbev News, Gosh recorded a normalised turnover of £22 million for the year ending in May 2021 and the company will continue to be managed by the current team, who will hold the remaining 4.6% minority stake. Sonae states that the acquisition is in line with its active portfolio management strategy. £50M Takeover Reportedly in Process for UK Plant-Based Brand Gosh!

UK vegan ‘free from’ producer Gosh! is reported to be on the cusp of a £50 million takeover deal. The deal is expected to be finalised soon, as an offer has been accepted and due diligence checks are being carried out, as first reported by The Grocer.  After last year announcing a major scale-up of production to meet soaring demand for plant-based foods, Gosh! invested £4.5M to open a 17,000 square foot factory to run alongside its existing facility. The company also last year appointed Jahangir Khan to be the company’s first Senior Category Manager to develop its business strategy, with the previously ongoing mergers and acquisitions process now reported to be coming to fruition.
