Starbucks & Gregg’s Announce Extensive Plant-Based Ranges for Veganuary

Brits taking part in Veganuary can now enjoy a range of new plant-based menu items at high street chains Starbucks and Greggs. Starbucks is offering five new vegan-friendly options: Caramelised Macadamia Oat Latte, building on the success of the Honey Hazelnut Oat Latte launched last year. The coffee is made with Starbucks’ Signature Espresso Roast. Plant-Based Breakfast Wrap, featuring smoky beans, tofu scramble, Lincolnshire-style plant-based sausage coins, and spinach. The filling is wrapped in a soft tortilla. No’Beef and Red Onion Focaccia, consisting of rosemary focaccia filled with soy-based beef-style strips, pickled red onions, and vegan mayo sauce. Greggs Partners With THIS to Launch Vegan Turkey and Stuffing Baguette

UK bakery chain Greggs has joined forces with alt meat brand THIS to launch a vegan turkey and stuffing baguette for the festive season. The baguette contains plant-based turkey goujons with a sage and onion crust, along with vegan gravy and cranberry sauce. Available at all 2,200 Greggs locations, it is the chain’s second partnership with THIS, after the two brands began offering a vegan southern fried chicken baguette earlier this year. Another plant-based Christmas option on the menu at Greggs is the vegan festive bake, first offered in 2021. Greggs Launches Vegan Southern Fried Chicken Baguette & Bean and CheeZe Toastie

UK bakery chain Greggs has launched two new plant-based options — the Vegan Southern Fried Chicken Baguette and the Bean and CheeZe Toastie. The first option is a meatless version of one of Greggs’ classic sandwiches. It features a crunchy baguette with plant-based chicken goujons, vegan cheddar slices, red onion, and chipotle sauce. The toastie is a simple sandwich containing baked beans and grated vegan cheese. Additionally, the chicken-free goujons featured in the baguette will be available as a separate menu option from September 15. UK Bakery Chain Greggs Opens Eco-Shop to Trial Sustainability Initiatives

British high-street bakery chain Greggs has opened an Eco-Shop in Great Billing, Northampton, to test out new sustainability solutions. Technologies currently being trialled at the store include environmentally friendly ovens, air-assisted toilets, heat pump air curtains, and more. Those that prove successful will be rolled out at other Greggs stores nationwide. The new store is part of the Greggs Pledge, a set of ten ethical and sustainable commitments made by the company. The sixth commitment relates to opening “shops of the future” and incorporating sustainable solutions into 250 existing stores by the end of the year. Greggs to Give Away Thousands of Vegan Festive Bakes and Hot Drinks

British high-street bakery chain Greggs has announced it will be giving away free Vegan Festive Bakes throughout the month of December. A total of 50,000 Festive Bakes — both vegan and non-vegan — will be given away to customers who download the free Greggs app. This giveaway is in addition to the existing offer of a free hot drink for each download. Drinks from the festive menu, including Mint Mocha, Mint Hot Chocolate, and Salted Caramel Latte, are included.
