Singapore’s HAPPIEE! Plant-Based Seafood Arrives in Asda for Veganuary

Singapore-based HAPPIEE! announces that its products will be available in ASDA stores nationwide across the UK from January 3rd, in time for Veganuary. HAPPIEE is a brand launched in January 2022 by Growthwell Foods, a leading Southeast Asian producer of plant-based products. In 2021, Growthwell raised $22 million in a Series A to further expand into alternative seafood and chicken, then later in the same year announced the opening of an Innovation and R&D Manufacturing Centre, claiming it was the country’s first fully automated large-scale production facility for plant-based products. Singapore’s HAPPIEE! Introduces “Mouth-Watering” Seafood Range in the UK

Singaporean plant-based brand HAPPIEE! has launched its frozen seafood and meat analogs in the UK, marking its expansion into international markets. The company secured a listing with Ocado online supermarket and has announced plans to launch at Tesco nationwide in the coming months.  The brand’s frozen range includes breaded and plain shrimp, breaded calamari rings, squid rings, and one meat analog: lamb shawarma, described as tender and delicious. The seafood range, according to the company, offers “the mouth-watering flavours of the sea.” All the products are GMO, cholesterol and additives-free, high in fibre, and low in calories. New ChickP CEO Completes $8M Series A as Production Doubles 

ChickP, the Israeli food tech specializing in chickpea protein, has announced a new CEO as its $8 million Series A funding round comes to a close. Liat Lachish Levy comes on board as CEO as the startup also announces a doubling of annual production capacity.  With ChickP recently expanding into the APAC region with the launch of a new office in Singapore, the $8 million Series A funding round, plus earlier investments totaling $10M, will allow the company to accelerate growth and reach its global goals. Growthwell Foods Launches HAPPIEE!, a New Plant-Based Chicken and Fish Range

Singaporean alt-meat company Growthwell Foods launches HAPPIEE!, its latest plant-based line. Growthwell Foods, a leading Southeast Asian producer of meat alternatives, has unveiled a new product range. Called HAPPIEE!, it consists of four plant-based products — Chickiee Nuggets, Chickiee Popcorn, Fishiee Sticks, and Fishiee Patties. The chicken alternatives are made with soy, and the fish alternatives with the Southeast Asian plant konjac. The HAPPIEE! range is manufactured at Growthwell’s new Innovation and R&D Manufacturing Centre, which is Singapore’s first fully automated large-scale production line for plant-based products. It contains one of the country’s first HME (high moisture extrusion) lines, significantly improving the texture of the new product range. Plant-Based Producer Growthwell Foods Partners With Meat & Seafood Supplier Indoguna

Growthwell Foods, a leading manufacturer of plant-based meat and seafood for the Southeast Asian market since 1989, has announced a strategic partnership Indoguna, a provider of meats and seafood operating for two decades with a presence in Singapore, Cambodia, and Dubai.
