H!P Launches Upgraded Plant-Based Easter Eggs With Chocolate Buttons

UK-based vegan chocolate brand H!P (Happiness in Plants) has updated its plant-based Easter eggs for 2024, making them 50% bigger with chocolate buttons inside. The eggs and buttons are made from oat milk and sustainably sourced single-origin Colombian cocoa. They are available in two varieties — Salted Caramel and the new Cookies No Cream flavour, which recently won a Great Taste Award. Despite the increase in size, the eggs are priced the same as last year. The packaging of the eggs is plastic-free and fully recyclable, while the chocolate has a 50% lower carbon footprint than milk chocolate (according to an analysis by My Emissions). James Cadbury’s H!P Launches Oat Milk-Based Crunchy Orange Chocolate Bar

British plant-based chocolate brand H!P (Happiness !n Plants) has unveiled a new product, the Crunchy Orange chocolate bar. Developed in response to consumer demand, the bar combines oat milk-based chocolate with natural orange flavouring and crunchy waffle cone pieces. The cocoa used is single-origin, sourced from Colombia. Sold in plastic-free packaging, H!P’s products are said to have a 50% lower carbon footprint than conventional milk chocolate. James Cadbury’s Love Cocoa Raises £4.25M in Round Led by Richard Koch

Love Cocoa, the UK-based chocolate company founded by James Cadbury, has raised £4.25 million from investor and bestselling author Richard Koch. The company will use the funding to open several new retail stores in London, increase distribution of its plant-based HiP Chocolate brand, and hire a new finance director and head of marketing. Love Cocoa and HiP are now said to have a combined retail value of more than £10 million, with over 300% growth achieved in the past two years. The company’s founder, who is a descendant of Cadbury’s chocolate founder John Cadbury, said Love Cocoa had previously been bootstrapped since it was launched in 2016. H!P (Happiness in Plants) has added the H!P Salted Honeycomb Bar to its oat milk chocolate line-up. Brandplant Adds HiP Chocolate to Benelux Distribution Portfolio 

Brandplant – the plant-based Benelux distributor – has expanded its portfolio with the addition of UK vegan brand HiP Chocolate. Created by James Cadbury, the great-great-great-grandson of John Cadbury, HiP produces oat-based milk chocolate from a slave-free supply chain. Netherlands-based Brandplant is continuing to expand its distribution portfolio, adding HiP to its current range of brands which includes VFC, Vantastic Foods, PLAYin CHOC, and two of its own brands, Pianta and Upside.   Brandplant also recently received investment from UK’s Veg Capital and Sweden’s Kale United, to accelerate the availability of vegan products in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
