Tofu Brand Hodo Announces Retail Expansion Into Meijer, Harris Teeter, and Giant Martin’s

US tofu brand Hodo has announced an expansion into leading grocery retailers Meijer, Harris Teeter, and Giant Martin’s, as consumer demand for minimally processed plant-based proteins continues to rise. Hodo’s tofu is made with non-GMO soybeans and is rich in protein and calcium. The brand offers more than 20 retail products, including entrees, dips, flavored tofu blocks, tofu scramble, tofu veggie burgers, and nuggets. Hodo also recently introduced Saucy Tofu Kits, aimed at busy families and those who are new to tofu. The products available as part of the retail expansion are: Meijer: Extra Firm Tofu (Hodo’s top-selling item), Organic Miso Tofu, Organic Indian Spiced Tofu, and Thai Curry Nuggets. Hodo Plant-Based Chili Crisp Dip Comes Out on Top at Expo West

In February, Californian plant-based food brand Hodo launched a new range of creamy soy-based dips, featuring three flavors — Chili Crisp, Sambal Sweet Chili, and Zesty Lemon. Hodo recently attended Expo West, where it asked booth visitors to sample each dip and choose their favorite. Chili Crisp came out on top, and was praised for its taste, versatility, and spiciness. Inspired by Sichuan cuisine, the dip is made from shallots, chili flakes, Sichuan peppercorns, and shiitake mushrooms. “When it comes to trending flavors, Chili Crisp is hot,” said Hodo founder and CEO Minh Tsai. Hodo Launches Ready-Made, High-Protein “All Day Vegan Egg Scramble”

Plant-based protein company Hodo announces it is launching the All Day Egg Scramble, a prepared egg alternative, in 1,500 retail stores across the US. The new plant-based egg will be available at Whole Food and Natural Grocers nationwide, with Sprouts and other retailers adding the product in coming months. The scramble will also be sold through foodservice.  Made from minimally processed ingredients, the All Day Scramble was created to offer consumers a convenient, clean-label alternative to chicken eggs, Hodo says.
