Kale United Aims to Raise 12M SEK in Preparation for IPO

Leading Nordic plant-based investor Kale United has started a new funding round with the goal of raising 12 million SEK (€1.03 million). The round will be active until December 1, with a third of shares already booked. It comes as Kale United prepares for an IPO in Q2 2025. Some of the capital raised will be used to launch a fund for sustainable investments, which will cater to large institutional investors. The fund will also provide capital to Kale United’s portfolio companies, increasing the investor’s assets under management by 150 million SEK (€12.9 million). Following the raise, Kale United plans to continue investing in both new and existing portfolio companies. Kale United Acquires Over 95% of Swedish Vegan Ice Cream Brand Lily & Hanna’s

Plant-based holding company Kale United has announced its acquisition of Lily & Hanna’s, a vegan ice cream brand based in Sweden. Kale United said it had agreed to purchase just under 70% of the shares in Lily & Hanna’s from the founder, and had also offered to purchase all other shares in the company from the remaining shareholders. As a result, Kale United will acquire over 95% of the business. The holding company said the acquisition would increase its turnover by more than 50% at group level, and increase its net asset value by around 10%. General Public is Invited to Participate in €4M Kale United Round

The Swedish holding company Kale United invites the general public to a €4M round to expand investment opportunities in sustainable plant-based businesses.  According to Kale United, the current invitation to acquire shares coincides with a 1.8 million euro investment from institutional investors. UK-based IP Group, dedicated to evolving great ideas into world-changing businesses, is among the larger investors in this round.
