The Kraft Heinz Not Company Unveils First Ever Plant-Based KRAFT Mac & Cheese with NotCheese

This morning, The Kraft Heinz Not Company LLC, a joint venture between NotCo and Kraft Heinz, announces the first-ever plant-based version of the iconic KRAFT Mac & Cheese in the United States. The KRAFT Mac & Cheese line, already a convenience food mainstay in North America, was extended with a vegan iteration back in 2021, which appears to have been limited to the Australian market. KRAFT also owns the Philadelphia brand which debuted a vegan cream cheese in 2022 and rolled out nationally across the US this year after the success of its trial. Last December, Kraft Heinz‘s brand Philadelphia launched a plant-based version of its iconic cream cheese —- Philadelphia Plant-Based Original — for the first time at select retailers in the US Southeast. Today, Philadelphia Cream Cheese announces the nationwide rollout of its plant-based spread in Original and two new flavors: Strawberry and Chive & Onion.  The new expansion responds to the successful performance of the Philadelphia Plant-Based Original in the regional Southeast test market: with repeat purchases almost double the category average and 70% of purchasers saying the product exceeded their expectations. The Kraft Heinz Not Company Reveals Plans to Enter Multiple Categories and Expand Globally

The Kraft Heinz Not Company, a joint venture between CPG leader Kraft Heinz and Chilean Unicorn NotCo, recently announced the upcoming launch of NotMayo in the US and Canada in 2023. Kraft Heinz Launches Philadelphia Plant-Based Cream Cheese in US

Kraft Heinz announces it is launching a plant-based version of its iconic Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Now available at select retailers in the US Southeast, including Atlanta, Houston and Miami, the company is planning more flavors ahead of a national rollout in Summer 2023. The new plant-based cheese is made from a base of coconut oil and faba bean protein, and comes in the brand’s original beloved cream cheese flavor.  According to the company, the product is free from dairy, lactose and gluten, with no added flavors or dyes. Heinz Launches Meatless Burgers & Mince “Powered by Beanz”

Heinz has entered the chilled meat alternatives category with two new products — Meatless Burgers and Meatless Mince, described as “powered by beanz”. The burgers and mince are said to be high in protein and low in saturated fat, with a juicy and meaty taste. They are also a good source of fibre and free of artificial ingredients. Initially, the products will only be available in the Netherlands, and Heinz has not yet indicated when they will roll out elsewhere. Oscar Mayer, a US brand belonging to Kraft Heinz and famous for its processed meats, has launched a PR campaign called “BacOFF,” inviting Americans to quit bacon for World Vegan Day on Nov 1st. Kraft Heinz and NotCo Reveal First Joint Products: Animal-Free Cheese and Mayo

Kraft Heinz Co. and food tech startup NotCo reveal the first products of their innovative partnership will be animal-free cheese slices and mayonnaise. Beginning in November, Not Cheese will be tested in 30 Cleveland, OH stores, with a national rollout planned for later next year. Kraft Heinz Releases 2022 “Together at the Table” Report Highlighting the Company’s Plant-Based Progress

Kraft Heinz has released its 2022 Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Report, outlining the company’s progress toward ESG priorities during the 2021 calendar year. Kraft Heinz’s New Chief Growth Officer Reveals First NotCo Products Will Launch in Late 2022

Kraft Heinz’s newly appointed chief growth officer, Diana Frost, reveals the global food conglomerate aims to “democratize” plant-based foods through its partnership with food tech startup NotCo. Food giant Heinz has partnered with UK fried chicken chain Absurd Bird to unveil a limited-edition plant-based burger for Veganuary. After researching plant-based alternatives for its Philadelphia cream cheese, international food conglomerate Kraft has released a vegan version of its classic Mac & Cheese box. From Vegetarian to Vegan: BOCA Launches First Vegan Burger

Until recently, BOCA, a subsidiary of Kraft-Heinz, only sold vegetarian burgers. Now the food company is introducing its first vegan burger, the “Original Turk’y Veggie Burger”. The 100% vegan Turkey Burger is a reaction by Kraft-Heinz to a petition from the animal welfare organisation Compassion Over Killing (COK), which urged the company to make all BOCA products completely plant-based in the future. The organization collected almost 50,000 signatures with the petition. In future, BOCA brand products will not contain any cow’s milk or other animal traces.
