The O2 Arena to go Veggie with Linda McCartney Foods for Paul McCartney’s Final Shows of 2024

McCartney and his late wife Linda became vegetarians and animal rights activists in the 1970s, and Linda went on to start a successful meat-free food company in 1991. On the 18th and 19th December, it’s not just McCartney’s music that will rock but McCartney foods will also be sharing the stage. The O2 Arena is teaming up with Linda McCartney Foods to give concert goers a plant-powered extravaganza as their food stands get a plant-based upgrade. A 4:2 veggie-to-meat ratio will be on offer at all food stands, while the Van on the Run food truck (inspired by the Paul McCartney and Wings album Band on the Run) will be outside the arena offering a range of meals made with Linda McCartney products. Paul McCartney on the Origins of Vegan Food

Paul McCartney, the ‘second voice’ of The Beatles, is an asset to the vegan community. He recently gave a lengthy interview in a UK newspaper about the need for change. The interview was published on the 25th anniversary of his former wife Linda McCartney’s vegetarian collection, which, like Stella McCartney, creates animal-free innovations. He spoke about the social significance of the shift towards vegan diets, saying “Meat-free is the new rock’n’roll”.
