Magnum Launches Vegan Blueberry Cookie Ice Cream With Sorbet Centre

Unilever-owned ice cream brand Magnum has expanded its plant-based range with new Chill Blueberry Cookie ice cream sticks. The product launches in the UK and according to Unilever it will also be available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Said to be inspired by the feeling of relaxation, the product consists of vanilla biscuit flavour ice cream with cookie pieces and a blueberry sorbet core. The ice cream is encased in vegan milk chocolate and is available both as individual sticks and as a pack of three. Magnum and Iris van Herpen Create First Ever Vegan Haute Couture Dress

Magnum and Iris van Herpen have joined forces to create what is claimed to be the first ever vegan haute couture dress. Inspired by Magnum Vegan ice cream, the dress is made with upcycled cocoa bean husks. Through processing, these husks can be transformed into an entirely organic biopolymer material. Van Herpen has used this material to develop an intricate three-dimensional design enhanced with upcycled organza and copper-coated embellishments. Magnum from Unilever Launches First Vegan Ice Cream Flavours

Unilever’s popular ice cream brand Magnum will add two vegan ice cream bars to its product range in September. For the time being, however, the new products will only be available in Finland and Sweden. The two new varieties Magnum Vegan Classic and Magnum Vegan Mandel will be available individually or in packs of four. The plant-based ice cream has already been tested and approved by the European Vegetarian Union. The manufacturer uses peanut protein as a milk alternative for the vegan ice cream. In addition, sustainably grown Rainforest Alliance cocoa beans are used for the dark chocolate that coats the ice cream.
