Misha’s Popular Non-Dairy Cheese Launches at Walmart, Beginning US National Expansion

Plant dairy company Misha’s announces it is launching at US Walmart stores, beginning the brand’s expansion into national retail chains. Several of Misha’s spreadable non-dairy cheeses are now available in Walmart in multiple states, including California, Utah, Nevada, Washington and Texas. According to Misha’s,  it is reimagining the dairy aisle with the “finest” dairy-free cheeses made with organic cashew milk, fresh herbs, vegetables and spices. Walmart will offer four of Misha’s spreadable cheese flavors: French Connection – Herbs de provence, grains de paradise, black olives Smoked Cheddar – Smoked paprika, chipotle Sari – Sundried tomatoes, roasted garlic, cilantro Black Truffle – Black truffle, shallots The brand notes its products are made using the same methods as traditional cheese, but without any dairy ingredients. Misha’s Kind Foods Raises $3M, Investors Include NBA All-Star Chris Paul

Californian plant-based alt dairy company Misha’s Kind Foods has closed a $3M seed round. Misha’s, producer of a wide range of healthy and locally sourced dairy-free cheese, will use the investment boost to further product development, explore retail expansion, and recruit talent in its team.  Among the investors for the LA-based Misha’s was Chris Paul, 11-time NBA All-Star Paul and LA Clippers legend. Paul has been a vegan since 2019, with the basketballer claiming significant statistical and performance improvements after making the switch. Music Industry Friends Register Misha’s Kind Foods as ‘Dairy Company’ in LA to Legally Label Vegan Products as Cheese

With August seeing the celebration of National Black Business Month, one such black-owned business is Misha’s Kind Foods  – producers of gourmet plant-based cheeses from Los Angeles. Interestingly, Misha’s is certified and licensed as a dairy company, which allows it to legally use the word “cheese” on its plant-based artisan products.  Co-founded by lifetime friends Ian Martin and Aaron Bullock, the pair left their careers in the music industry to make vegan cheese, getting their start in local farmers’ markets back in 2015, before introducing Misha’s to the market in 2018.
