Moving Mountains Launches No Chicken Burger and Nuggets for Food Service

UK food tech company Moving Mountains has announced the launch of its latest products — the No Chicken Burger and Nuggets — for food service. According to founder and CEO Simeon Van der Molen, the burger “tastes so much like chicken that it’ll blow your mind”, while the nuggets are “a deliciously dippable treat”. Both products are said to be tender, crunchy, and high in protein. The plant-based burger and nuggets are now available for foodservice outlets in the UK and the EU. Moving Mountains Gives Away 1000 Free Burgers to Celebrate “Radical Rebrand”

UK alt-meat brand Moving Mountains has announced a “radical rebrand” with a new logo, packaging, and website. To celebrate the rebrand, the company will today be giving away 1000 free burgers at its food truck, based at Queen’s Walk Southbank in London. The burgers will be available between 11am and 8pm. Additionally, the rebrand will be marked by several marketing and influencer campaigns, along with an update to the signature flag displayed on Moving Mountains dishes at restaurants. This will be rolled out across the company’s 10,000 hospitality partners, which include Bills, Hard Rock Café, and Cote Brasserie. UK’s Oldest Brewery Launches “Diggity Dog” Vegan Hotdog, Receives MIDAS Innovation Award

The UK’s oldest brewery Shepherd Neame recently launched a vegan hotdog called the Diggity Dog. The menu item which has “proved incredibly popular” according to the brewery, has just received an award for Best New Menu Item at the Menu Innovation and Development (MIDAS) Awards. Made with Moving Mountains‘ soy and pea-based vegan sausages, the hotdog comes topped with crispy onions, sauerkraut, tandoori ketchup, pickled vegetables, and mustard. It joins a range of other vegan menu options offered by Shepherd Neame, including an Oumph! burger. Unity Diner Launches Festive Vegan Menu With Moving Mountains

Unity Diner, co-founded by well-known vegan activist Ed Winters AKA Earthling Ed, has partnered with Moving Mountains for a vegan Christmas menu. To celebrate, Unity Diner — London’s biggest vegan restaurant — is offering a “No Pigs In Duvets” bottomless prosecco brunch. Interesting to note is that in October 2019 Unity Diner took over a Spitalfields location which was previously a rib restaurant, enthusing on social media at the time about “taking over a space that was once a hub for animal exploitation” with a fully vegan enterprise which also includes a full-service, 100% vegan cocktail bar.
