Billie Eilish and Nike Collaborate for Sustainable Vegan Shoes & Apparel

Billie Eilish and Nike have joined forces to create a new range of vegan shoes and clothing, with the singer-songwriter redesigning Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 to use more sustainable materials. The new shoe uses synthetic nubuck leather in a mushroom colour, made with 80% recycled materials. The laces are covered with midfoot straps and have lace locks featuring Eilish’s logo, while the shoes’ insoles are made with cork and embossed with lyrics from her song Billie Bossa Nova. Eilish has also helped to design a range of matching mushroom-coloured apparel in her signature oversized style, featuring a hoodie, sweatpants, and t-shirt. Nike Reveals Happy Pineapple Collection Made from Piñatex Pineapple Leather

Nike has unveiled its latest range of sustainable footwear with its Happy Pineapple Collection. Featuring seven new editions, the range is made with the latest generation Piñatex, a sustainable plant-based alternative to leather made using pineapple leaves. “Design is a connecting tool between people, economics and the environment” The collection comprises seven sneaker editions across five styles; the Free Run Trail Premium, the Air Max 90, the Air Max 95, Air Force One, and the Air-Zoom Type. 2 Million Kangaroos Are Slaughtered Every Year for Football Boots

A short film created by Hollywood producer Gavin Palone and director Derek Ambrosi, exposes the yearly massacre of two million kangaroos for football boots. The film comes as two US congressmen introduce a new kangaroo protection bill, the Kangaroo Protection Act, to ban the sale of kangaroo body parts in the US.
