Float Foods’ Plant-Based Egg to Arrive in Hong Kong Via DayDayCook’s Meal Kits

Singapore’s Float Foods has announced a distribution agreement that will include its plant-based egg, OnlyEg, in the ready-to-cook meal kits that DayDayCook, a Chinese online meal delivery service, sells across China. This new partnership will see Float Foods’ OnlyEg integrated into DayDayCook’s Ready-to-Cook Meal Kits, which will be distributed in Hong Kong through an omnichannel sales strategy, including e-commerce and B2B segments, explains the plant-based eggs brand. Float Foods’ OnlyEg Wins Best Plant-Based Functional Award

Float Foods’ OnlyEg was named Best Plant-Based Functional Award at the Plant Based Expo in New York City last week. The winning product in the category was OnlyEg XL Omelette, an extra-large omelette format that can be used for omelettes as well as a wide range of applications, from breakfast menus to burgers, sandwiches and crepes. Based in Singapore, Float Foods‘ legume-based egg, offering distinct egg yolk and egg white components, was first introduced in 2020, claiming to be Asia’s first commercial plant-based whole egg substitute. The company secured SGD $2.2 million (approx USD $1.66 million) in an oversubscribed seed funding round in June 2021, and just last month revealed the “first” plant-based tamagoyaki (Japanese-style omelette) in Asia. Float Foods Alt Egg Beats Plant-Based Leaders to Win World Food Innovation Award

Float Foods, the Singapore vegan egg start-up, has been awarded ‘Best Health or Wellness Food’ at the World Food Innovation Awards 2022 for its plant-based OnlyEg White formulation. The egg alternative beat finalists in the same category such as ALDI and Heura Foods. In its eighth annual edition, the awards ceremony was held during the International Food and Drink Exhibition, with the judging panel including senior food industry figures, including from Selfridges and Mission Ventures. Float Foods’ Plant-Based Whole Egg Products Ready to Hit the Market

Float Foods, the food tech famed for its plant-based whole egg substitute OnlyEg, has announced key milestones as it moves towards commercialization this year.
