Panda Express Brings Back ‘Beyond The Original Orange Chicken’ to the USA in Response to Consumer Demand

Panda Express has announced the return of Beyond The Original Orange Chicken to its menus across the United States. This plant-based version of the hugely popular dish, created in partnership with Beyond Meat, is making a comeback due to substantial consumer demand. The dish, designed to replicate the crunchy texture and flavor of Panda Express’s traditional Orange Chicken, was initially launched nationwide in September 2022 after successful trials in Southern California and New York City in 2021. The trial phases saw the dish selling out in less than two weeks, prompting its expansion to 70 additional locations. Panda Express Expands Beyond Meat Partnership, Will Trial New Beef Dishes

Chinese-American fast food chain Panda Express announces the brand will trial two new Beyond Meat dishes from now until February 23.  Available exclusively at the Panda Express Innovation Kitchen in Pasadena, CA, this marks the second menu collaboration between the two companies. Last year, Panda tested Beyond the Original Orange Chicken, a plant-based take on the company’s famous Orange Chicken entree item. Beyond Meat and Panda Express Present Veganized Version of Classic Orange Chicken Dish

As of July 26, American Chinese fast-food chain Panda Express will introduce a vegan version of its iconic orange chicken. The plant-based dish will be made in conjunction with Beyond Meat after the alt meat giant recently launched its Beyond Chicken Tenders into US food service. To be available firstly at test locations in greater Los Angeles and New York City, the new Beyond The Original Orange Chicken will be 100% vegan, and if commercially viable will be rolled out nationwide. Panda Express Yields to Animal Rights Groups with Vegan Options

Panda Express has announced that by the end of this month, it will offer vegan options for the first time across all 2000+ global locations. The largest Asian Cuisine restaurant chain in the US has options on the menu that appear to be vegetarian or vegan, but in fact, contain chicken broth. Animal Outreach and PETA discovered this, and separately launched successful campaigns against the chain.
