Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat Unveil Beyond Pepperoni Range Across the UK

Pizza Hut UK and Beyond Meat announce the introduction of the Beyond Pepperoni pizza range at Pizza Hut delivery locations across the UK. Beginning January 2024, the plant-based pepperoni will also be available at Pizza Hut dine-in establishments for a limited time, aiming to cater to the evolving dietary preferences of pizza consumers.  The Beyond Pepperoni range features the Big New Yorker, a 16” pepperoni and cheese pizza, Beyond Pepperoni Feast with mixed peppers, and Beyond Pepperoni Melt pizza. By default, these pizzas come with regular mozzarella cheese, but Violife’s vegan cheese is available on request (at no extra cost) to make them 100% vegan. Global Fast Food Chains Become Increasingly Plant-Friendly, Normalizing Sustainable Food

A report by ProVeg has found that the five leading global fast food chains — McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut, and KFC — are increasingly offering a range of plant-based options. The research looked at the plant-based dishes offered by the chains in Belgium, Czechia, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Spain, the UK, and the US. The chains were then ranked based on these findings, with main meals, sides, and desserts all taken into account. Pizza Hut Adds Permanent Beyond Meat Menu Options in Latin America and Singapore

Global restaurant chain Pizza Hut is introducing Beyond Meat plant proteins as permanent menu additions in several markets across Latin America and Asia.  Expanded options Starting September 1st, Pizza Hut restaurants throughout Guatemala and El Salvador are introducing a new Beyond Meat-dedicated menu, which features nine pizza, pasta and croissant dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of the items contain non-vegan cheese and eggs. Pizza Hut UK Offers Vegan Cheese for Delivery Nationwide as Meat-Free Sales Rise by 19%

Pizza Hut UK has partnered with alt-dairy brand Violife to offer vegan cheese for delivery across the country. Violife cheese has been available at Pizza Hut’s dine-in restaurants since 2017, and the partnership has now been extended to the chain’s Delivery Huts following a successful local trial earlier this summer. Pizza Hut has been offering vegan options for some years in the UK and US, and now,  following petitioning from PETA, Pizza Hut in Germany has finally followed suit with three permanent vegan pizzas topped with Violife cheese. Look Away Vegans! Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat Launch “Plant-Based” Pepperoni Across US

Following the two companies’ recent moves in the UK, Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat have announced a new collaboration, with the debut of the Beyond Pepperoni pizza. A first for both brands, the pizza will be available in nearly 70 locations across the US.  “We know there is strong consumer demand for pepperoni, and we’re thrilled to unveil a game-changing plant-based pepperoni topping” – Beyond Meat However, much like the recent UK launch, the pizza contains dairy cheese and as such is not suitable for vegan customers. Pizza Hut has expanded its partnership with Beyond Meat by adding four new meat-free pizzas to its permanent menu in the UK. Pizza Hut Trialling Garden Specialty with Incogmeato Italian Sausage

Pizza Hut has announced it is introducing a limited-time test of a plant-based pizza: the new Garden Specialty Pizza topped with Incogmeato Italian sausage which is made by Kellogg’s Morningstar Farms. The pizza comes served in a new round compostable pizza box, with the trial of both innovations will take place exclusively at one Pizza Hut location in Phoenix, Arizona.

Pizza Hut UK Expands Vegan Menu to Include Vegan Cheesecake

Pizza Hut has expanded its vegan menu at all of its UK locations, as reported by VegNews. The menu will now include Southern Fried Nuggets made with Quorn, All About Mushrooms Pizza topped with Violife cheese, and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Cheesecake. Last May we reported that the chain was trialling vegan pizza in Australia. In January of this year, Pizza Hut UK launched a jackfruit pizza – sales far exceeded expectations with 10,000 already selling out around the country in just two weeks. The Vegan ‘Jack ‘n’ Ch**se’ Pizza topped with Violife vegan cheese, was initially added to menus to celebrate Veganuary. The new menu items are available now in all 250 Pizza Hut locations in England, Scotland and Wales.
