UK alt-meat brand Quorn has appeared as a guest host on Hungry For It, a new competitive food programme on BBC Three. The episode aired on June 28, with contestants challenged to prepare dishes containing Quorn products. Sarah Graham, the brand’s Culinary Innovation Manager, appeared as a guest judge alongside celebrity judge Big Zuu and American chef Kayal Greer. Quorn Launches Vegan Beer Collaboration with BrewDog

Vegan protein leader Quorn has released a new collaboration with UK beer producer BrewDog. Claiming to take the meat-free experience to the next level, the new beer has been made to pair with Quorn’s alt meat products and promote sustainable food and drink production, with BrewDog being the UK’s first carbon-negative brewery. The new Quorn and BrewDog beer is a tribute to the UK’s leading meat-free brand and comprises a 5.1% ABV. The brands claim the golden Mexican Vienna Lager has a medium-body mouth feel, low bitterness with toasty breadcrumb notes and citrus aromas. Quorn & Sodexo Reveal “World’s First” Carbon-Neutral Solution for Catering

Quorn has joined forces with international foodservice giant Sodexo to roll out what it claims is the world’s first carbon-neutral solution for food services. Called Carbono Cero, the range will launch in a number of Sodexo’s corporate client sites in the UK, with a plan to expand globally by April 2023. Carbono Cero is a range of ten carbon-neutral recipes created using Quorn alt protein products, as well as an emphasis on seasonality and locality. Huge Demand for Vegan Chicken on UK Menus as 49% of 18-24s Limit Meat

A report by alt-meat brand Quorn and the Sustainable Restaurant Association has found that there is growing demand for vegan chicken and other alt-meat options at UK restaurants. 49% of 18-24 year olds surveyed had reduced or eliminated the meat in their diets, with 40.3% choosing meatless meals half the time when eating out. Vegan burgers were the most popular choice, but the report found a “huge growing desire” for more plant-based chicken products such as wings, strips, and tenders.
