Happy Ocean Foods’ Vegan Shrymps Win Big on Germany’s Shark Tank

Alt seafood company Happy Ocean Foods has proven a success on The Lion’s Den – the German version of the show known as Shark Tank in the US and Dragon’s Den in the UK. The plant-based seafood brand received investment from two judges including former Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg.  Showcasing its flagship plant-based Shrymps on the show, Happy Ocean Foods impressed both investors Nico Rosberg and Dagmar Wöhr. Umaro Foods Makes $1M Deal with Mark Cuban on Shark Tank for Seaweed Bacon

Umaro Foods, producers of seaweed-based bacon, has secured an investment deal with Mark Cuban on the latest episode of Shark Tank. During the show, Cuban agreed to invest $1 million in the brand, which plans to launch its bacon product into foodservice later this year. Through the deal, Umaro joins a growing roster of successful plant-based food companies backed by Cuban, including Unreal Deli, Legendary Burger and pet food brand Wild Earth. Wild Earth’s Koji-Based, Meat-Free Dog Food Now Available at Walmart

Wild Earth, makers of sustainable plant-based dog food, announces the company’s superfood dry kibble will now be sold at Walmart, the world’s largest retailer. Wild Earth CEO Ryan Bethencourt broke the news on social media, and it appears the product is already listed on Walmart’s online shopping page.
