Beyond Meat & Taco Bell Collab Finally Revealed: Beyond Carne Asada Steak

Today, Taco Bell USA reveals the results of its long-anticipated collaboration with Beyond Meat with the Beyond Carne Asada Steak. Described as a “category-disrupting” protein, the Beyond Carne Asada Steak was created by the Taco Bell Test Kitchen and Beyond Meat’s team of culinary innovators. Intended to complement Taco Bell’s existing menu, the steak will be featured in the brand’s quesadilla, but can be enjoyed in any of the chain’s customizable menu items. Taco Bell Trials New Plant-Based Meat in 50 Locations, Still Planning Beyond Meat Launch

Taco Bell USA announces it is testing a new meat substitute made with pea and soy protein at 50 restaurant locations in Birmingham, AL. For a limited time, the Crispy Melt Taco and Nachos Bell Grande will feature the new protein, which can also be ordered on any of the chain’s menu items. The Most Googled Vegan Fast Food Options in North America

New research by meal kit comparison site Meal Delivery Experts analyzed Google searches for keywords such as “vegan options” to find which American fast food restaurant is the most popular in terms of plant-based menu options. Somewhat surprisingly, Taco Bell comes in top place with 16,600 average monthly searches. Taco Bell offers a vegan cheese sauce and like all Mexican / Tex Mex food, the menu can be easily adapted to become vegan friendly.
