The Coconut Collab Raises £1.5M in Series B Funding After Seeing 15% YOY Growth

The Coconut Collab, a UK producer of coconut-based dairy alternatives, has raised £1.5 million in its Series B funding round. The funding comes from existing shareholders, including US-based Ground Force Capital (formerly PowerPlant Ventures). This investment management firm previously funded The Coconut Collab’s $7 million Series A round, which was used to help the company expand within the UK and internationally. The new capital will be used to help The Coconut Collab transition from startup to scaling phase, accelerating growth and establishing a more mainstream presence throughout the UK and Europe. Choc Pots by The Coconut Collaborative Launch on All Virgin Atlantic Flights

Plant-based chocolate desserts made by UK brand The Coconut Collaborative are now available on all Virgin Atlantic flights. Described as “little pots of rich chocolate ganache”, the coconut-based desserts contain 100 calories per pot and are free of gluten and palm oil. The products received a Great Taste award in 2017 and are said to be made with ethically-sourced ingredients. Previously, the choc pots have launched at the major supermarket chains Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco, and Waitrose. They are also available in salted caramel flavor. UK alt-dairy brand The Coconut Collaborative has launched a plant-based alternative to double cream. Described as “wonderfully whippable”, the cream will be offered as the dairy-free option at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. According to The Coconut Collaborative, the Double Cre&m is heat-stable and free of gluten, soy, and palm oil. The Collaborative, a plant-based desserts company, announces a re-brand to Bon Dévil, which will premiere at this year’s Expo West. The new look and name aim to disrupt the chilled dessert category with Bon Dévil’s healthier, “devilishly un-guilty” creations. The “devious rebrand” will feature a selection of coconut-based desserts, and debut across US retailers and grocery stores this spring.
