Winners of the 2023 International V-Label Awards Revealed!

After publishing its shortlisted finalists last month, the International V-Label Awards 2023 has revealed the winners across four categories: Sustainability, Innovation, Marketing & Branding, and the Consumers’ Choice Award. It is fitting that these winners are named today, on World Vegan Day, and as we at vegconomist celebrate all in the space and their efforts throughout the year, we would like to celebrate and thank all of the winners for their efforts and achievements. Sustainability The Sustainability winners are: Bodegues Sumarroca — Producer of organic wine brand 2CV. International V-Label Awards Reveals Shortlisted Finalists for 2023

The International V-Label Awards has unveiled its shortlisted finalists for 2023, with 15 companies or products chosen in each of three categories (Sustainability, Innovation, and Marketing & Branding) by a panel of experts. Sustainability In the Sustainability category, companies are recognized for products that replace traditionally animal-based products, have a low carbon footprint, conserve water, are sustainably sourced, and have a positive social impact. The judges are Catherine Coward, co-founder of The Good Crowd; Enric Urrutia, director of Bueno y Vegano; Réka Szöllősi, freelance food sustainability consultant; and Sonalie Figueiras, founder of Green Queen. The shortlist features cactus leather by DESSERTO, VEGDOG‘s complete vegan dog food, and meatless bacon by Plenty Reasons, among others. Over 300 Entries Received for V-Label Awards as Public Voting Commences

The third edition of the International V-Label Awards, dedicated to recognizing excellence and positive impact in plant-based products, has received a total of 317 exceptional entries from all corners of the world. The organization now invites the public to cast their votes to help select the winners of the Consumers’ Choice Award, with voting open until September 30th.  “This year, the competition boasts a total of 9 distinct subcategories for the nearly 80 international entries in the Consumers’ Choice category, spanning diverse products such as plant-based meat and dairy alternatives, to confectionery and beverages, and even non-food products like cosmetics and household items,” explains Nikolett Konkoly, Program Manager of the V-Label Awards. “Each subcategory will have its own winner, offering an exclusive opportunity for brands …
