The Impossible Burger Debuts in East Coast Grocery Stores Today

The Impossible Burger makes its East Coast grocery store debut today in seven states at all 100 Wegmans grocery stores, and two Fairway Markett outlets in Manhattan. Last week’s West Coast launch outsold meat-based ground beef and set all-time sales records based on both revenue and the total number of pounds sold. “No Evil Foods” is a US company that produces vegan meat and has recently expanded its distribution to 75 Wegmans supermarket chain stores. Co-founder Sadrah Schadel believes that the origin of the increased demand for meat alternatives lies in the health benefits of vegan meat. On the one hand, consumers are increasingly rejecting products with a high cholesterol content, and on the other hand, they are increasingly asking for products with a high protein content.

Vegan Scrambled Eggs by JUST at Veggie Grill

Egg alternatives are becoming more and more popular. A recent report by “Future Market Insights” predicted annual growth of 5.8 percent for the market for egg replacement products. The American start-up “JUST Foods” has now launched a new vegan alternative to scrambled eggs. The plant-based egg is soon to be available nationwide, and is currently being offered by the restaurant chain “Veggie Grill”, amongst others.
