Canada’s Vejii Signs Letter of Intent to Purchase UK Marketplace Mighty Plants for £2 million

Vejii Holdings Ltd (CSE: VEJI), a North American online marketplace for plant-based and sustainable products, announces it has signed a non-binding Letter of Intent with UK company Frozenly contemplating the acquisition of Frozenly’s issued and outstanding shares. If completed, Vejii states the proposed acquisition will expand its footprint into the UK, marking a major milestone for the company.  According to the terms of acquisition, Vejii will purchase Frozenly’s shares for an anticipated price of £2 million (about $2.4M USD). Upon closing, the UK company will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vejii, while founders Rebecca Osborne and Gabriel Osborne will continue to manage Frozenly,  and will also be subject to contractual resale restrictions agreed to by the parties. “First of its Kind” European Vegan Summit to Take Place in September

The first European Vegan Summit (EVS) will take place this September, featuring activists, politicians, and influential figures from media, business, science, and NGOs. Coming together virtually, the EVS will revolve around activism, economy, politics, and science to connect the European vegan sphere.  The EVS will take place over 4 days online (15th-18th of September) and will feature 12 talks, 72 speakers, and 4 exhibitions. PlantPub, a 100% plant-based sports bar, is to open a new 8,000 sq. ft. location in Boston, MA this spring, as a collaboration between celebrity chef Matthew Kenney and PlantPub’s co-owners, including prolific vegan investor Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni. Beau’s Secures £400,000 to Create State of the Art Vegan Ice Cream Facility in North East UK

Beau’s – a UK producer of vegan gelato which says it is the UK’s first vegan ice cream subscription service – announces it has secured £400,000 in funding from investors including prolific vegan investor Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni’s VC firm Dismatrix, to expand the company and to create a 100% vegan, state-of-the-art ice cream manufacturing facility in the North East of England. The brand reports it has received multiple Great Taste Awards for its gelato which contains only natural, whole-food ingredients (such as cashews and fresh lemon juice) with no artificial flavours, and contains up to 40% of the core flavour ingredient (as opposed to the industry standard of roughly 10%).
