Germany’s V-Party³ Calls for Political Framework That Supports the Vegan Lifestyle on World Vegan Day

In a press release to coincide with World Vegan Day, Germany’s V-Party³ makes it clear that veganism is more than just a form of nutrition. The party sees it as a movement for compassion, responsibility, and the path to a fairer world. The V-Party³ is the first vegan party to put these values at the centre of its message.

Roland Wegner, Federal Chairman of the V-Party³, explains that the vegan way of life is based on empathy towards all living beings and that “Joking about and ignoring veganism must finally come to an end!

“Living vegan means consciously deciding against the exploitation of humans and animals, and this positive attitude must no longer be discriminated against,” continues Wegner, who sits on the Augsburg city council for his party.

V-Partei³ urges political support for vegan change

The V-Partei³ is calling for a political framework that supports and promotes a vegan lifestyle. “Our society needs more empathy – and we are convinced that veganism is the way to achieve this,” says the party founder, explaining his vision. “As a vegan party, we want to end all forms of exploitation and cruelty, including the abuse of animals in zoos and circuses. The V-Party³ also draws attention to the fact that dietary behaviour also has a major impact on species extinction and climate change.”

“Apocalyptic weather events such as the current one in Spain show us what environmental destruction triggers. The way we farm plays a significant role in this,” says the Vegan Party, pointing out the connections.

To mark World Vegan Day, the V-Party³ invites everyone to think about their consumer behaviour and take the first, very simple step, by eating a plant-based meal.
