The British supermarket chain Sainsbury’s is expanding its vegan product range by introducing organic vegan butter. The butter will be available in 170 different locations in Great Britain. The product is produced by Naturli’ Foods and sold under the name “Naturli Vegan Spreadable”.
Made of coconut, rapeseed, shea and almonds, the vegan butter is the perfect spread for breakfast, lunch or dinner, according to Naturli’ Foods. It can also be used in completely different ways; the manufacturer has announced that it is also suitable for baking and frying.
From the supermarket chain’s point of view, the introduction of organic vegan butter brings it one step closer to meeting growing demand from vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians. In recent weeks, Sainsbury’s has launched more than 20 new meat-free products, including vegan burgers, vegan cheese and Naturli’ Foods’ minced meat alternative.
