Bedding products usually contain animal fabrics such as wool and feathers, but The Tree Napper Collection from Bearaby selects organic, animal-free materials termed as “tree fabrics”, and is as such suitable for vegan consumers. Manufacturers and retailers are increasingly developing new alternatives to animal products, as the global demand for plant-based continues to gain strength.
This weighted blanket is made of wood pulp from eucalyptus trees. No animals were used in its manufacture, proving that quality bedding products can be both sustainable and cruelty-free. Other brands to make animal-free bedding include HEFEL, who use organic vegan hemp as their primary product, and Avocado Green Mattress, who primarily use organic vegan cotton.
The brand’s founder, Kathrin Hamm explained: “The introduction of our Tree Napper marks a pinnacle moment for Bearaby in our quest to challenge industry norms for a more sustainable future. Through the launch of our Tree Napper, we can show that incorporating sustainability in our products is not only the right thing to do, but it also leads to better products.”
