The premium Dutch vegetable oil manufacturer Bunge Loders Croklaan has launched a new, plant-based clean label liquid margarine called Delica Pro Gold, designed especially for artisanal and industrial bakeries. The new plant-based margarine is liquid, non-hydrogenated, environmentally friendly, functional, free of artificial additives and has a very good nutritional profile.
The innovative formula of the new product is based on a precisely balanced blend of plant-based oils, including a blend of natural oils from wheat germ, corn and linseed. Delica Pro Gold is a liquid, non-hydrogenated margarine without E-numbers, and contains no artificial colours or flavours. According to the company, this innovative fat formula works exceptionally well.
“The real challenge was to produce a liquid margarine without emulsifiers,” explains Bernd Brinkmann, Innovation Director EMEA at Bunge Loders Croklaan. “We tackled this challenge by adapting the composition to contain a natural oil blend with high emulsifying properties, combined with a new production process.” Bunge Loders Croklaan exclusively presented the new margarine at the IBA in Munich.
