Irish dairy giant Kerry Food announces the launch of vegan line Naked Glory in the UK, a range of plantbased meat products based on soya and wheat protein. The new product range includes sausages, burgers, minced meat and meatballs. The products are currently on offer at Tesco and Asda, with more retailers to follow shortly.
Kerry’s website describes the new brand: “Naked Glory is a brand-new succulent and sizzling meat-free range created by meat lovers, for meat lovers. The sumptuous products in the range look like meat, cook like meat and taste like meat. Naked Glory is quite simply the meatiest thing since meat!
Naked Glory is for food lovers who no longer want to be in an ‘exclusive relationship’ with meat! In our quest for meat-free meaty perfection, we’ve created the tastiest, most succulent veggie protein range you could ever imagine.”
Malcolm Sheil, President and CEO, Kerry Europe & Russia commented, “There is no doubt that there continues to be a mainstream consumer shift towards a flexitarian diet. Consumer preferences, from restaurants to retail, have never seen such dynamic change, but for the food industry these developments are as challenging as they are exciting.”
