The Allgäu-based start-up E.V.A. GmbH has already enjoyed great success with the introduction of its vegan own brand Simply V in 2015. The Simply V brand sells vegan cheese, and according to the company, has already attained a share of 70% in the market for cheese alternatives. Simply V has now launched a new barista-quality organic oat drink, which is said to be perfectly suited to coffee with milk, muesli, porridge and overnight oats.
Simply V has developed the first oat drink to contain just three ingredients. The new oat milk contains just water, oats, and rapeseed oil. The organic drink can be frothed up, and is therefore not just suitable for muesli and overnight oats, but also for milky coffee such as cappuccino and latte macchiato. This makes the Simply V oat drink part of a new generation of plant-based foods which provide the best taste with just a few ingredients. Not only are the recipe and properties of the new oat drink unique, but its packaging, with its modern, fresh design, also stands out on the shelf. The Simply V oat drink has been available in stores since October 2018. The recommended retail price for a 1 litre carton is €2.49.
Other vegan milk alternatives that have recently come onto the market include the cold-pressed organic plant-based milk from MALK Organics and the new vegan product line from Riot Eats.
