Award Winning Oumph! Launching Plant-Based Barbeque Meat Alternatives

Launching in northern Europe just ahead of barbeque season, the multi-award-winning, plant-based food company Oumph! is launching three new products: The Oumph! Burger, Oumph! Mince and Sticky Smokehouse Oumph! The company has been gaining serious momentum during the vegan explosion in Scandinavia and beyond.

The new products are launching in Sweden from 6th May, in ICA, Bergendahls and Axfood stores, and will follow soon to both retail and food services throughout the Nordic countries, as well as to the UK and Ireland.

Oumph! Is a favourite meat alternative product in Sweden and the Nordic countries, which recently branched out across the North Sea to team up with Butlins, one of the UK’s most popular chain of seaside resorts. Its food products are also available in Tesco, the UK’s largest supermarket chain, and Holland and Barrett, a British health food shop with stores in 16 countries worldwide.

The staple ingredients Oumph! use are soya beans, organic herbs and spice mixes. The products are both vegan and free from gluten. Since its launch in Sweden and the Nordic countries in 2015, Oumph! has become a favourite with a wide audience, including families, millennials, food critics, chefs, flexitarians and vegans. Some of their awards and prizes are as follows:

-Pulled Oumph! – 3 awards in important categories in the World Food Innovation Awards, presented at the International Food & Drinks Event (IFE): Best Plant-based Product, Best Streetfood Brand, Best Product for Foodservice/Catering.

-Oumph! Thyme & Garlic – Gold in the FreeFrom Food Awards in the Store Cupboard category, and the Oumph! Pizza Italian Style was awarded Bronze in the Pizza & Pasta category.

-Oumph! Kebab Spiced – ‘Best New Food Product of the Year’, Food Matters Live 2018.
