Beyond Meat has launched its newest product, Beyond Sun Sausage™, marking a significant shift from its current meat replacements. This new product, available exclusively at Sprouts Farmers Markets, focuses on wholesome fruits, vegetables, and legumes, reflecting the company’s response to growing consumer demand for clean-label ingredients.

Unlike Beyond Meat’s previous products designed to mimic beef, pork, or chicken, Beyond Sun Sausage showcases ingredients such as yellow pea, brown rice, faba bean, red lentils, spinach, and bell peppers.
“We’re thrilled to introduce a completely new innovation to the plant-based category with the addition of our wholesome, flavor-forward Beyond Sun Sausage.

It’s available in three flavors: Cajun, Pesto, and Pineapple Jalapeño. Each link provides 12 grams of protein and just 1 gram of saturated fat. The products meet the nutritional guidelines of the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check program and the American Diabetes Association’s Better Choices for Life program.
Responding to market trends
Beyond Sun Sausage’s launch comes amid consumer demands for clean-label options and misleading narratives around ultra-processed foods (UPFs). Despite reporting a decline in revenue in Q1 financial earnings, CEO Ethan Brown remains optimistic about the company’s trajectory, indicating that this new strategy aims to make 2024 a pivotal year for Beyond Meat.
Earlier this year, the company released new formulations for its Beyond Burger, Beyond Beef, Beyond Sausage, and crumbles, which aimed to preserve the products’ meat-like texture and taste while significantly improving the nutritional value. Beyond Sun Sausage is designed to stand on its own as a unique plant-based protein option.

Beyond Sun Sausage is now available at all Sprouts Farmers Market stores nationwide.
