Chunk Foods Expands Retail Footprint with New Plant-Based Pulled Meat Products

Chunk Foods is expanding its retail lineup with four new plant-based pulled meat products, set to debut at Expo West. The new offerings—Chunk Pulled with Teriyaki Sauce, Chunk Pulled with Texas BBQ Sauce, Chunk Pulled with Korean BBQ Sauce, and Chunk Pulled with Barbacoa Sauce—combine the company’s plant-based protein with pre-made simmer sauces.

The company describes its new products as high in protein, free from GMOs, and made with simple ingredients such as pears, tomatoes, onions, carrots, garlic, and ginger. The simmer sauces offer a variety of flavor profiles, from the smoky taste of Texas BBQ to the sweet and savory notes of Teriyaki.

“These new Chunk Pulled products with simmer sauces deliver convenience without compromise. We’re bringing bold flavors made with high-quality ingredients to home kitchens—no prep required, just sauté, add sauce, simmer, and enjoy,” stated Amos Golan, founder and CEO of Chunk Foods.

The new retail SKUs follow the company’s initial plant-based whole-cut and pulled meat products, which launched in October 2024. Currently, Chunk Foods’ products are available in more than 55 independent retailers in Southern California and New York City. In addition to its brick-and-mortar retail presence, the company recently expanded online through a partnership with Vegan Essentials, making its products accessible to consumers across the US.

Chunk Foods has also been involved in community support efforts, including a donation of plant-based steaks to communities affected by wildfires in Los Angeles.

Expo West attendees will have the opportunity to sample the new products during the event.
