Coca-Cola Launches Vegan Milk Drinks on the European Market

Coca-Cola recently announced the launch of its new vegan beverages on the European market, under the label “AdeZ”. The company, known for its sweet fizzy drinks, is now increasingly focusing on healthier alternatives which meet the changing needs of consumers.

In March 2017, Coca-Cola acquired the Argentine beverage brand “Ades”, whose plant-based products are very popular throughout Latin America. Coca-Cola then announced on Twitter some time ago that they want to launch the Argentinian plant-milk drinks in a total of 18 European countries – but under the name AdeZ.

The vegan drinks combine milk alternatives with fruits, minerals and vitamins. They are sweetened only with fruit juices and stevia, and are also lactose-free and vegan-certified.

In Germany, two of the vegan brand’s products in the flavours “Magic Almond Mango & Passion Fruit” and “Happy Oats Strawberry & Banana” will be launched in summer. Coca-Cola is also committed to environmental protection with its new products, as 30 percent of the 250 ml EW-PET bottles are to be made from plant-based materials – so-called PlantPET.
