Kite Hill Debuts ‘Everything’ Cream Cheese

Vegan food company Kite Hill, which specialises in non-dairy products like yogurts and spreads, has launched a new cream cheese spread Everything, made of wholesome ingredients, such as almond milk, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic and onions.

“Kite Hill’s ‘Everything’ Cream Cheese mimics all the glories of your morning bagel with non-GMO ingredients, no artificial preservatives, and all the wonders of a true vegan recipe,” said a press release.

Kite Hill, based in California, offers a range of vegan products from probiotic plant milks and yogurts to pasta and dips. The new gluten and soy free spread is joining the existing line of vegan cream cheese varieties, including Plain, Chive, Jalapeño, and Strawberry.

Last year Kite Hill closed a $40 million investment round, which was led by food giant General Mills’ venture capital arm, 301 Inc.

“This investment propels Kite Hill into a great position to continue our rapid pace of expansion. We are eager to meet the seemingly insatiable consumer demand for our delicious, chef-inspired, plant-based, vegan foods. As such, we’ll be investing substantially in factory capacity expansion,” Rob Leibowitz, Kite Hill CEO said at the time.

The new Everything Spread is available at Whole Foods Market stores through the US from April.
