Miyoko’s Creamery has introduced its new Oat Milk Taco Blend Seasoned Shreds, a dairy-free cheese product designed to offer a meltable texture and bold, spicy flavor. The shreds are made from oat milk and are positioned as a versatile option for dishes like tacos, nachos, and dips, catering to both plant-based eaters and those seeking dairy alternatives.
Redefining dairy-free cheese
Crafted from oat milk, these seasoned shreds offer a bold, zesty flavor with a combination of spice and meltability. According to CEO Stuart Kronauge, the launch responds to growing consumer demand for flavorful plant-based options.
Kronauge stated, “This bold, zesty blend is designed to bring the joy of taco night to everyone. With a perfect balance of spice and meltability, Oat Milk Taco Blend Seasoned Shreds are another example of how we’re continuously redefining what’s possible in dairy-free cheese.”

In addition to the Oat Milk Taco Blend Seasoned Shreds, Miyoko’s has also reformulated its Cheddar and Pepper Jack Shreds and Slices to feature more robust flavors.
Consumers demanding flavor
Miyoko’s has also recently introduced a jalapeno flavor to its spreadable cheese range, adding to its growing portfolio of plant-based products. Many plant-based brands are also expanding their lines with spicy versions of popular items, such as Daiya’s Spicy Monterey Jack Shreds, NotCo’s Chipotle Mayo, and Beyond Burger’s Jalapeno variant, responding to the demand for bolder flavor profiles.
Available in 7-ounce bags for $6.99, the Oat Milk Taco Blend Seasoned Shreds are now in stores such as Erewhon, Nugget Market, Hy-Vee, and National Co+op Grocers. Other retailers are expected to carry the product in the near future.
