UK supermarket chain Morrisons has launched its own brand of vegan mozzarella sticks, after research showed that cheese is the most missed animal products amongst vegans.
The new V Taste No-Moozarella Sticks are made from coconut oil and potato starch and coated in parsley breadcrumbs.
“We know a lot of our vegan customers really miss cheese and that their options are often limited at family buffets, which is why we’ve taken this classic cheesy party food that everyone knows and loves and made it vegan.” Oliver Smith, Morrisons Party Food Buyer said.
The new product joins Morrisons plant-based V Taste range, which includes vegan cupcakes, pizza, burgers, and ready meals, all launched last year.
The No-Moozarella Sticks are sold in packs of eight and are available now in most Morrisons stores for £2.50.
