The vegan burger summer continues with Netto. After a successful national sales campaign of Netto Marken-Discount in July, the Beyond Meat Burger is now coming back permanently in about 770 Netto stores in most of North Rhine-Westphalia as well as in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Netto is thus reacting above all to the extremely positive customer response in the Ruhr region and is bringing the fashionable burger back to the self-service fresh shelves: fans can buy the vegetarian burger permanently in the net stores in this region from 8 August. Netto is the first and so far only retailer in Germany to offer the Beyond Meat Burger on self-service fresh shelves.
The Beyond Meat Burger (2 x 113.5 grams Patties) will be available at Netto Marken-Discount from Thursday, August 8, in around 770 stores in large parts of North Rhine-Westphalia and northern Rhineland-Palatinate at a price of 4.99 euros per pack. The burger patties consist mainly of pea protein, water, rapeseed oil and coconut oil. They do not contain genetically modified organisms (GMO) and are free of gluten and soya. The Burger Patties get their red colour in particular from beetroot juice. The vegetable Beyond Meat Burger has more protein and less saturated and unsaturated fatty acids compared to beef burgers.
“The reaction to our nationwide burger campaign in July was particularly positive in the Ruhr region. Now we will react to this customer demand and offer the Beyond Meat Burger permanently on our fresh shelves in almost all of NRW and the neighbouring Rhineland-Palatinate”, explains Christina Stylianou, Head of Netto Corporate Communications. Depending on product availability and customer demand, the company plans to sell the popular burger in additional net stores in other regions in the future.
