Paramore singer Hayley Williams recently launched her own line of vegan hair dyes at the well-known beauty chain Sephora. The new product line is called “Good Dye Young”, and can be purchased online at Sephora as well as on the brand’s website.
The new beauty line features a variety of shades such as Pink Ex-Girl, Yellow Steal My Sunshine and Orange Riot. Washable colours, hair whiteners and a dyeing tool are also available. According to the manufacturers, the hair dyes are free of formaldehyde, peroxide, PPD and ammonia, and are suitable for all hair types. In addition, all the products are vegan and not tested on animals.
The musician first announced her new vegan product line in 2016 with the words, “I can dye happily from now on”. Initially, the vegan brand will only be available to consumers in Canada and the USA.
Many larger and smaller companies are increasingly turning to vegan beauty products, and have expanded their product ranges or launched new product lines. These include well-known manufacturers such as L’Oreal, Beauty Bay and Bliss. Studies also predict robust growth figures for the vegan beauty product market in the future.
