VIVOBAREFOOT Presents Spring/Summer Collection 2019

VIVOBAREFOOT is focusing more and more on sustainable innovation, and its new spring/summer 2019 collection clearly reflects this aspiration. The goal of the company, which is a manufacturer of barefoot shoes, is to offer the feet maximum freedom of movement whilst minimizing the environmental impact of the shoes.

One of the most innovative new products of the season is the Primus Lite Bio – the first shoe made of corn glucose. The entire sole and 70% of the upper shoe are made from a by-product of the corn industry called Susterra Propanediol, developed by DuPont Tate & Lyle Organic Products. According to the company, this makes the Primus Lite Bio the performance shoe with the lowest petroleum content in the world. A completely organic line made of Susterra Propanediol is already being planned. In addition, an ever-increasing proportion of the collection is made of recycled materials such as Eco Mesh, Eco Suede and Eco Canvas. These are all made from recycled PET bottles. They are durable and vegan.

The goal of VIVOBAREFOOT is to enable the wearers of the shoes to get as close as possible to walking barefoot – in every situation. With this in mind, the shoes are constantly being improved and further developed. The new barefoot shoe collection for spring and summer is now available in the online shop at www.vivobarefoot.de, as well as in concept stores throughout Germany and at selected retailers.
