Aldi UK has announced the launch of its largest ever plant-based range for Veganuary 2025, with prices starting at £1.49.
New options include the Plant Menu Kimchi Kofta, said to contribute to gut health, and the Plant Menu Tempura Frickles. Consisting of deep-fried pickles in batter, this snack is becoming popular on restaurant menus and has gone viral on social media. Aldi’s version features a tempura batter and is paired with dill mayo. The retailer is also set to launch Plant Menu Tempura Vegetables.
Another new product likely to prove popular is the Plant Menu Plant Based Egg, a liquid whole egg replacer that can be used for scrambling, baking, or making omelettes. The egg alternative can be cooked in just minutes in an oven, pan, or microwave, and is fortified with vitamins D and B12.

High-protein options
Consumers will also be able to purchase the new Plant Menu Gut Health No Chicken Smash Burgers, available in the flavours Chargrilled, Tex Mex, and BBQ. The high-protein burgers can be fried, grilled, or air-fried. Two more protein-rich options will also be introduced — the No Chicken & Black Pepper Sausages and the Salt & Pepper No Chicken Kebabs.
Additionally, Aldi will launch a new range of meal kits, including the Keema No Beef Meal Kit, BBQ No Pork Meal Kit, and Pulled Hoisin No Duck Meal Kit. Meanwhile, the Plant Menu No Smoked Salmon, which proved very popular in January of this year, will be relaunched in 2025.
The Plant Menu Vegan Cheese Continental Selection will also return this Veganuary, featuring a variety of flavours — Not’zarella Grated, Italian Style Grated, Greek Style Block, and Baking Bert. Additionally, there will be a new range of Plant Menu Slices, including Peppered No Salami, No Pepperoni, and No Chorizo.

Meat-free swaps
The news comes after Aldi launched its biggest ever Christmas range this year, featuring products such as the Plant Menu Ultimate Footlong Vegan Pig in Blanket, Specially Selected No Beef Wellington, and Plant Menu Stuffed No Turkey Crown.
“Those looking to add to their vegan repertoire this Veganuary needn’t look further than the aisles of Aldi,” says the retailer. “Whether shoppers are looking to go fully plant-based or make a couple of meat-free swaps, Aldi’s range of new and returning Plant Menu products has shoppers covered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And with prices starting from just £1.49, there is a lot to like at Aldi this Veganuary.”
The new range will launch on December 30.
