Everything Legendary Burgers Launch at 1,000 Kroger Stores Across US

Plant-based burger brand Everything Legendary announces it expanding its burgers to 1,000 Kroger and Kroger-branded stores across 15 states. The company’s burgers can now be found in Fred Meyer, Ralph’s, King Soopers, Smith’s and Mariano’s and more in US Midwest, Southwest and West Coast regions.

Founded by Duane Cheers, Danita Claytor and Chef Jumoke Jackson, Everything Legendary gained national notoriety following a 2021 appearance on Shark Tank, where they successfully closed a $300,000 investment deal with Mark Cuban. Within a year, the brand’s burgers, cheeseburgers and plant-based ground expanded to more than 3,000 retail locations, including Publix, Target and Safeway stores.

In addition to retail, the company also regularly embarks on food truck tours at festivals and college campuses.

Live Nation and investments

In June 2022, Everything Legendary partnered with Live Nation, the world’s leading company in live entertainment, to feature its burgers at select Live Nation festivals, theaters, clubs and amphitheaters. Live Nation also made a strategic investment in the brand for an undisclosed amount. 

Months later, Everything Legendary added “Dragon Wyngz” – plant-based chicken wings – to its lineup. In addition to the Shark Tank investment, the company previously raised $6M in a Series A round backed by Cuban, CircleUp Growth Partners and General Mills’ venture capital arm 301 Inc.

Healthier options at Black colleges

In 2023, Everything Legendary partnered with Bowie State University and Morgan State University, two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to offer their plant-based burgers and chicken in campus dining facilities. During a recent appearance on Fox5 TV in Washington DC, co-founder Duane Cheers stated:

“One of our biggest goals this year is to launch food service at HBCU’s and colleges across the whole country. That’s something we’re very big on… the younger you can start eating healthier, the better it’s going to be for your lifetime. So we’re ecstatic to start with HBCUs because that’s where we’re from.”
