• Danone Subsidiary Celebrates Successful Bike-to-Work Week

Silk, a subsidiary of Danone North America specializing in plant-based foods, organized a “Bike-to-Work Week” from May 14-18 this year. This was intended to raise awareness of a healthier lifestyle. The campaign received high-profile support from Antoni Porowski, a well-known nutrition activist, who is featured in the “Queer Eye” series on Netflix.

The Bike-to-Work week included numerous giveaways in the form of bicycles, helmets and locks with the Silk logo, which were intended to encourage the participants to engage in more health-promoting activities. As a brand ambassador, Porowski has also been supporting a healthier lifestyle and a healthier planet for some time. He said: “I love to inspire people to make positive changes and help them take steps towards a better and healthier life – be it in the kitchen or beyond. Instead of just telling people how to lead a healthier life, Silk’s bicycle giveaways actually give them the opportunity to do so.”

Since its foundation, Silk has been committed to making the world a healthier place. The company offers a wide range of vegan and GMO-free products in various product categories. Since 2014, it has also been committed to the conservation and restoration of water sources, and compensates fully for its own consumption. Silk has recently been “B Corp™-certified”. This label indicates that the company meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
