Chunk Foods, a producer specializing in plant-based whole-cut products, has donated thousands of plant-based steaks to nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles. The donation is intended to support first responders and residents affected by the recent Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire in the Los Angeles and Pasadena areas.
“We believe food has the power to heal and unite communities”
The contribution enables local nonprofit organizations to provide high-protein, ketogenic-certified, and clean-label meals to those impacted by the fires. The meals are aimed at addressing the nutritional needs of both emergency responders and displaced community members.
“This donation is more than just food. It’s about nourishing the body and soul during a time of crisis. We’re deeply moved by the bravery of first responders and the resilience of those impacted by these fires. This includes many restaurants and business owners who we work closely with,” said Amos Golan, founder and CEO of Chunk Foods.

The initiative aligns with Chunk Foods’ broader mission to provide sustainable and accessible plant-based alternatives. The company, which entered the US retail market in late 2024, recently expanded its distribution through a partnership with the online platform Vegan Essentials earlier this month.
Nonprofits involved in the relief efforts expressed gratitude for the donation, which offers an alternative protein option at a time when access to fresh, nourishing food is critical.
Golan continued, “Partnering with local volunteers on the ground to provide comfort and sustenance through our plant-based steaks is an honor. At Chunk, we believe food has the power to heal and unite communities, and we are committed to being there when it matters most.”
