The grassroots community group Vegans of Beijing, which aims to raise awareness about plant-based living in the country’s capital, is now part of a advocacy platform maintained by Plant Based Consulting.
Plant Based Consulting (PBC) was set up on October 2018, with the goal of popularising plant-based lifestyle in China by providing marketing services to plant-based businesses. In addition to Vegans of Shanghai, PBC will now also be supporting the sister advocacy platform in Beijing.
This collaboration will leverage the efforts of both organizations being carried out in different cities. Thus, helping to facilitate information exchange regarding the best methods of advocacy, including marketing and advertising support.
Team members from Vegans of Beijing commented: “We are beyond excited to work together with Vegans of Shanghai to further our common goals. Together, we will have access to more resources, and be able to take advantage of our synergies.”
“I’m anticipating the growth of the vegan movement within China as we begin working alongside Vegans of Shanghai. Not only with the increase in our community, number of events, and more vegan friendly spaces/products, but also in the growth in understanding on modern veganism specifically in China.”
