Emergy Foods Opens its Plant-Based Protein Headquarters in Boulder, Colorado 

Plant-based protein company, Emergy Foods, opened its new headquarters this week in Boulder, Colorado. The opening coincides with the recent announcement of its closing of $4.8 million in venture capital financing.

Congruent Ventures led the recently closed funding that also included Prelude Ventures, Better Ventures, 50 years, New Crop Capital, The March Fund I LP, Trust Ventures, Bluestein & Associates, and others. The company also received additional grant funding from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory, and Chain Reaction Innovation for a total of $1.3 million, as reported by the Boulder Daily Camera.

Emergy Foods provides sustainable, plant-based meats that mimic the taste, texture, and nutritional profile of animal-derived meat while delivering the nutrition profile and fiber content of vegetables. The new headquarters feature full production, laboratory, and kitchen capabilities for manufacturing.
